USGS Aerial Imagery
  • MrSID files for each county have been built in to four tiles (Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest) to reduce the total file size. Nonetheless, be aware that each zipped file is approximately 1 GB in size.
  • The original imagery can be downloaded directly from the USGS ftp site.
  • The projection for these images is NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_15N in US_foot. See below for screen shots showing details of the projection data.
