Backing up your data using FTP
These instructions are also available in PDF format.
To keep your data secure on DASC's servers, you will need to use an FTP (file transfer protocol)
client. If you already have an FTP client, you can continue to use it with these settings:
- Contact DASC (call 785-864-2000) to get a user name and password
- DASC's FTP host name is backup.kansasgis.org
- Connect using port 21
If you don't know or aren't sure if you have a suitable FTP client, DASC recommends FireZilla
and has downloads and instructions for how to use it.
